About Rachel

Rachel L. Willoughby Greene, MS, LPC, CCTP

Rachel is a licensed counselor in Missouri and Kansas, and certified clinical trauma professional through IATP.  She is also projected to complete certification as a spiritual director in June 2018.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Benedictine College and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Avila University.  Since she was a young child she sought to care gently for others and find ways to bring peace into their lives.  As a counselor, she offers a holistic approach to treating a variety of mental health concerns.  As a spiritual director, she helps facilitate exploration and discernment in the areas of faith & spirituality.  Outside private practice, Rachel also works with children & adolescents involved with foster care & adoption; and offers Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy & Learning to address trauma, stress, behavioral concerns, team building, & communication with a non-profit called Horses & Heroes, Inc.

To stay current in the field Rachel seeks education & training on a regular basis. She has a passion for her family, animals, and the outdoors, blogging and writing, and finding new and creative ways for her clients to heal and achieve their goals.  She lives in Kansas City with her firefighter husband and their two adopted pit bulls.
